About us

We'll keep you moving through life

Our vision

Through innovation, experience, and a patient centred approach, our vision is to help people with limb differences achieve their functional and life goals through customised prosthetics and orthotics solutions.

Our mission

At HPOS, our mission has always been to design, manufacture and fit prosthetic and orthotic solutions that match the aspirations of our patients. Whether it’s cycling, gardening, or running a marathon, together we’ll develop a treatment plan with agreed outcomes that ensure our patients are involved every step of the way.

Located at Rankin Park on the John Hunter Hospital campus, we care for people in the Newcastle, Hunter New England, and Port Macquire regions.

Our strong and dedicated relationship with public and private hospitals within these regions means we can provide a wide range of prosthetic and orthotic care to inpatients and outpatients across a large part of NSW. We support major hospitals in Sydney and Newcastle by coordinating access to ongoing care for local and rural communities.

HPOS manufactures an extensive range of custom-made prosthetic and orthotic devices on site at Rankin Park. We also source an extensive range of prefabricated assistive devices and utilise a custom shoemaker to provide a range of bespoke footwear for people with complex footwear needs.

HPOS is part of EnableNSW, a statewide service that provides aids and equipment to people with chronic health conditions or disabilities to help them manage safely at home and within the community.
